A closed body made from repeated points.
Blue Mass I & II share their origin with Groeivormen. Both works are built from the same repeated ceramic gesture, but where Groeivormen spreads through space, these volumes withdraw into themselves. Repetition is no longer dispersed, but compressed.
The individual spikes are absorbed into a dense, undulating surface. The objects suggest weight, stillness and an inward-facing body. Their blue skin feels almost soft, while still holding a subtle defensive tension.
In relation to Groeivormen, the works show another side of the same movement: one unfolds, the other gathers. Openness and closure, growth and concentration, motion and silence are held in balance.

Presentation
The works can be presented as a pair, as separate objects, or in relation to the open installation logic of Groeivormen. They suit plinth presentation, floor-based installation or a quiet spatial setting with emphasis on surface, shadow and scale.
